Weekly Goal Wednesday!
My goal, for however long it takes me, is to get back all three of my splits and to gain back my dance/cheer flexibility. Other than my splits I also want to be able to do a heel stretch, scorpion, and bow and arrow again. It’ll probably take me a looong time because I’m naturally unflexible but I’m willing to work on it :D

What is with friends/family eating junk food in...
I just don’t understand. If my close friend or family member was on a strict diet and was trying to win immunity while at home, I would be ordering the same things as them! What is your current workout routine?
I just started up a half marathon training plan to get me ready for the Capital City Half Marathon in Columbus on May 5th this year. I also do some weight training about 3 days a week, although I’m considering starting Insanity and dropping the weight training. We’ll see :)

At least for Ohio :) It’s super sunny and 55 degrees! Perfect running temperature and weather! You better believe my first day of half marathon training will be spent outdoors today. No treadmill for me!

I’m so excited to get it (free 2 day shipping means I should get it by Wednesday!!) and start using it ASAP! It’ll encourage me to run outside instead of running on the treadmill despite the chillier temps. Name your biggest “trouble area” on your body.
My stomach! Even at my lowest weight and at the height of my fitness level (competitive dance and cheerleader) my stomach STILL didn’t look that great, despite tons of cardio and strength training :( I guess some people just aren’t blessed with the genetics for a great midsection. I ran my first 5k race!
Woohoo! I ran the whole time :) I didn’t walk at all! I’m not sure what my time was but I think it was about 35 minutes. It was about 25 degrees when the race began and it took me about a mile to get my whole body warmed up. I tried to sprint (more like a fast jog lol) the last quarter mile of the course and by the time I crossed the finish line I felt like I was going to either pass...

The Day Before the Race
What I ate: Garden salad with ranch with blackened salmon filet (with carrots, broccoli, and brown rice) from MiMi’s Cafe ; Chester’s Hot Fries for a night time snack :)
What I did: Went shopping at the mall for the first time in forever! Bought 6 shirts and 4 pairs of earrings :) I’m thrilled with what I bought and it’s nice to not feel completely terrible trying on...

Name your favorite thing about your body.
My favorite thing would be my legs/butt. I get compliments on my butt all the time so I guess it must be pretty nice lol. Also, I’ve gained weight almost everywhere on my body since graduating high school, but the weight didn’t show as much on my legs as it did/does on my stomach, so I’ve liked that :)

Pre-Race Jitters!
I am getting sooo nervous just thinking about my 5k race on Sunday!! AHHHH!!!!!! I can’t even fall asleep. I’m going to be freaking out tomorrow night!

I’ve only ran once this week….and granted it was my big accomplishment run (first time running 3.1 miles at once!) BUT! I just feel so bad not working out at all this week. School is just killingggg me :( Oh well. Sunday is my 5k race and then Monday starts my half-marathon training AND insanity!! I’ll be back on the workout crazy horse in no time :)
P.S. I’m obsessed...
